January 15 - What Is Blockchain? (MUN) (6-8PM) 

You may have heard about Bitcoin but have you heard of the Blockchain? Briefly, blockchain is the innovation behind Bitcoin and every other cryptocurrency. During this event, we will look at what this technology really is about and how it can be (and is being) used for more than improving financial transactions.

January 19 - Social Buying for Social Good

Social Buying for Social Good is a public networking and interactive panel event to celebrate the innovative social enterprises that exist in our community. This event takes place on Thursday, January 19th from 7 to 9 pm at the ALT Hotel St. John's. 

January 19 - Social Buying Symposium

The Social Buying Symposium will connect Canada's experts in social procurement with Newfoundland and Labradors private and public sector decision-makers to collaboratively explore how to develop business policy and practice for social good. This even takes place on Friday, January 19 from 8:30am to 3:00pm at the ALT Hotel St. John's. 

January 27 - The big raise, all in for women

Are you keen to give a hand to emerging female tech entrepreneurs? Then join us at EVOO on Saturday Jan 27th for a fabulous night of poker, premium cocktails, incredible food, and more. All proceeds will support local women in tech launch their business venture. Additional details are coming soon!

January 31 - Fundamentals of Art Management Session #1

Business and Arts NL is pleased to announce a six part professional development opportunity aimed to arts and culture workers. Sessions will be January 31, February 28, March 21, April 25, May 23 and June 20, 2018. Participants will be expected to attend all six sessions.
