Join IDC and IDNL at the upcoming DesignEx St.John's! DesignEx Forum & Function 2017 will connect you with manufacturers, suppliers, fellow interior designers, architects and others from the built industry. At 11:30AM Dave Lane & Grant Genova will present "Creating an Innovation Hub & Creative Centre in St. John's"
This fifty hour program is designed to give beginners essential 21st century skills to use in their personal and professional lives such as: HTML & CSS / WordPress & CMS.
Join us as Grant Genova, a member of Universal Design NL, discusses the accessiblity in downtown St. John's. Learn how tightly designed heritage buildings in the downtown core can be retrofitted to accommodate accessible design, and how to extend universal design beyond the footprint of a building and into the surrounding urban fabric, creating space that is accessible to everyone.
This event hosted by the Memorial Centre for Entrepreneurship will be held in their FounderSpace and is open to all.
The themes for this year’s conference focus on Clean Technology in our province and the Journey of Start-ups in Cleantech and the Environmental Sector. Among these themes we have sessions on: Green Building, Procurement both Federally and Provincially, Environmental Regulatory Improvements in NL, a session on Offshore Wind Energy in NL and more!

October 25 - Canada Business NL Guest Advisor program
The guest advisor program offers one on one consultations with Guest advisors through confidential consultations at Common Ground (Harvey Road). This session's advisors will be Jenny Smith of Ray Agency, answering questions about online marketing, social media, email marketing, traditional advertising and more. Slots available: 9, 9:45, 10:30, 11:15AM & 12PM as well as Brad Driscoll (Bluedrop Performance Learning), who will answer questions about topics such as: tax issues, GST, business number registration, payroll, leasing, business structure, book keeping, accounting software and employee / employer responsibilities.
